About us
The Recoverist is an inspiring podcast dedicated to sharing powerful stories of addiction and recovery.
Launched in 2024, the podcast aims to tackle stigma by opening up conversations about
addiction, mental health, and the many pathways to recovery. Through candid discussions, we highlight the resilience of individuals and the wide range of support available for those on their journey to recovery.
What’s it all about?
Each episode features heartfelt interviews with people who’ve experienced addiction firsthand, as well as insights from professionals working in recovery.
Hosted by Dan, who shares his own lived experience of recovery, the podcast offers an honest and supportive space to explore themes such as mental health, addiction, recovery, and community support.
Guests include individuals in recovery, recovery professionals, and even creative experts like art therapists, showcasing the diversity of recovery journeys and the strength within recovery communities whilst highlighting the support that’s available to people.
